We’re excited to be hosting a new webinar coming up on June 18th at Noon ET / 9 am PT with Rajeev Piyare of Conexio Technologies. They are a new Golioth Design Partner and the creators of the Stratus Pro development board, based on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF9151. Problem space The problem is the same as it ever was: batteries run out. And even though cellular components are lower power draw than ever…well they’re not zero! So it’s all about optimization: Reducing the amount we draw when we are not transmitting Choosing low overhead, highly efficient ways of transmitting Selecting the right combination of hardware elements to enable non-battery operation It will probably come as no surprise that Conexio boards and the Golioth cloud figure strongly in the above solution. There is also a strong supporting cast of other vendors in the mix, including Nordic Semiconductor, 1nce SIMs, a RAK wireless case, and Datacake visualization. What you’ll learn Rajeev has taken the Golioth Reference Design Template, which is a Zephyr project that we use as a starter project on our open source Reference Designs, and made it work even more efficiently on Conexio hardware. That combination of hardware, firmware, and cloud makes for a very low quiescent current draw and efficient connectivity to reduce the overall usage. We’ll cover the following in the webinar: Different cellular low power modes and how to use them to make extra sleepy devices Utilizing Connection ID with the Golioth Firmware SDK Configuring solar and supercapacitors with the onboard power handling Adding device location with minimal power draw How to sign up This webinar is happening June 18th at Noon ET / 9 am PT,…
