Golioth is making important updates to our retention practices for the LightDB Stream service that may impact ongoing deployments of our users. We want to make sure that our user community is aware of these updates and has the opportunity to take action as needed.
We have long noted in our public forums and on our pricing page that LightDB Stream includes a free 30 day data retention policy. Customers relying on LightDB Stream to date have benefited from a grace period that allowed the access of data beyond 30 days without an explicit contract in place. This grace period is scheduled to expire on March 2nd, 2025.
Beginning March 3rd, 2025, 30 day retention policies for LightDB Stream data will be enforced across all organizations that do not have an extended policy.
We have taken proactive steps to reach out directly to those customers we believe may be impacted by this policy enforcement but we are aware there may be others planning to scale their usage of LightDB Stream in the coming months.
Customers who require a longer retention window, or believe they already have an agreement in place, should reach out to [email protected] as soon as possible.
