Golioth Orange Demo

The Golioth Orange Demo was just recently released on YouTube. It showcases one of the hardware demos we had at Embedded World in June of 2022.

This demo is an asset tracker demo using the Nordic Semiconductor Thingy91, a sensor platform based around the nRF9160 SIP. We used the built-in cellular modem and GPS receiver to capture readings from the GPS satellite constellation, and then publish them over Golioth’s LightDB Stream service. From there, we showcased the data using a custom Grafana dashboard that showed both the live readings from the device, as well as the historical data showing where the device had been in the past.

Similar setups could help to showcase the device location, as well as sensor readings and then plot them on a map. These are useful for tracking things like trucks, scooters, pets, and more.
